Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between EPO100G® Glaze & EPO100C® Clear?
APC Formulate & Manufacture two different forms of clear epoxy resin. It's important you use the correct resin in order to ensure a successful outcome of your project. APC Clear Resin (EPO100C®) is used for high-build applications over 4mm. Such as repairs, mortar & casting. APC Glaze Resin (EPO100G®) is used for roll/pour on applications where the depth of the product is less than 4mm. Using EPO100C® in applications thinner than 4mm will result in adverse effects like Fish-eyeing and bubbling. Glaze in depths over 4mm can appear cloudy/foggy.
What surfaces can EPO100® Glaze be used on?
EPO100® Glaze can be used on most porous substrates. This includes Concrete, Tiles, Metal, Wood & Fibre Cement Sheeting. In most cases any previous coating must be removed in order to allow for adhesion.
Can EPO100® Glaze be applied directly to concrete?
Provided the first coat is sufficiently thinned to allow for penetration, APC Epoxy Glaze can be used in a cut and coat system.
How long do I have to work with EPO100G®, should I allow the mix to stand?
All resins manufactured by All Purpose Coatings do not require a standing period in order to allow for the product to begin curing. Once Part A and Part B have been mixed, curing begins immediately. Working time is approximately 40 mins in the bucket depending on the humidity and temperature of the work area.
Does EPO100® Glaze yellow when exposed to sunlight?
Whilst Epoxy Glaze is an ultra-clear, low yellowing epoxy, exposure to sunlight will still cause the epoxy to yellow off. In order to prevent this, you can apply a UV top coat such as; SPA60, SPA80 or Tetrathane®. Using such top coats will allow the system to be installed outside or inside. Yellowing is not limited to All Purpose Coatings range of epoxies and is a typical property of any manufactured resin system.
Can I get EPO100® Glaze in a matte finish?
It is possible to matte epoxy, however it is not recommended as the finish can become cloudy of foggy. Instead we recommend using Glaze as per normal and finishing with a matte coat of Tetrathane®.
Does EPO100G® come in a non-slip finish?
It is possible to add glass to the clear finish of Epoxy Glaze in order to raise the slip resistance and texture of the surface. Adding slip resistant mediums will however reduce the gloss level of the finish.
Epoxy Resin Clear Glaze EPO100G®
Water Clear at Depth
EPO100G® Clear Glaze is an industrial high performance, 100% solids, two-part cycloaliphatic amine-cured epoxy resin manufactured by All Purpose Coatings Pty Ltd.
Epoxy Clear Glaze is designed to be used as a stand-alone coating specifically manufactured as a roll-on system. It is suitable for use in a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial environments where a lasting solution is required.
Unique to APC EPO100® Clear Glaze is it’s design and formulation specifically for roll coats in order to eliminate fish-eyeing and separation issues. Suitable for both DIY & installer, Epoxy Glaze is extremely user friendly, easy to apply and self-levels on application.
IMPORTANT - EPO100G Clear Glaze should be used as a roll coat product and is not suitable for work at depth over 4mm as clarity may be lost at this depth. for work at depth refer to EPO100C Clear Epoxy.
Used in Systems
EPO100G® Clear Glaze is used as part of the APC Metallic System & is coupled with APC 350M Metallic giving a glass like finish.
EPO100G® Clear Glaze is also used as part of the APC Flake System where a high-end gloss finish is required.

*Read the TDS and SDS prior to use *Devices such as digital cameras, computer monitors, printers, and scanners produce colour differently. Therefore, the sample or product may not look exactly like the image that you see on your screen. *Coverage rates for coatings are based on smooth dense surfaces. The surface texture and porosity of the concrete can vary considerably and allowances should be made for this.
